What is Anodising?
Anodising is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. The process is called anodising because the part to be treated forms the anode electrode of an electrical circuit. Anodising increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than does bare metal.
Anodic films can also be used for a number of cosmetic effects, either with thick porous coatings that can absorb dyes or with thin transparent coatings that add interference effects to reflected light.
There are three different types of anodising that we offer to our customer base:
- Sulphuric Anodising
- Hard Anodising
- Colour Anodising
We are capable of handling items of up to 3 meters in length for both the sulphuric anodising and hard anodising processes.
A key element in our operations is the flexibility of our work structures. We have identified the need to be able to respond to the requirements of our clients and the pressures they face within their industries to deliver on time.
We have therefore introduced, as standard, flexible working hours, including weekend working to allow us to support our clients in meeting these demands.
